I might not be stick thin or the "typical" fit image but I still try every time I run and exercise to do my very best and improve. Some days are not so good, but most days are AMAZING!

My story!
This blog originally started as a running blog. To help motivate plus size women that they don't have to be a certain weight to start running. But it has since morphed into an overall health and wellness blog and I LOVE IT! My journey to finally start working on me began in 2009. I had tried to lose weight before that point, but it never worked.
When my husband got deployed and I needed something else to keep me busy. No kids yet and teaching piano was fun but I needed something for me and needed to get my big butt in shape. I wanted to have kids and the thought of getting pregnant at 230 pounds scared me to death! So I hired a personal trainer and after about 6 months of personal training I started running. I lost 30 lbs and got below 200 lbs. It only lasted for a few months because we became pregnant with our first son through the help of fertility treatment.

My husband was deployed to Iraq when our son was 3 days old and I didn't have family around so I had to say bye-bye to going to the gym. I worked with a nutritionist to help me learn to eat the right kinds of foods that my body needed and ended up losing the weight again after my first son. But after suffering 2 miscarriages I gained a lot of my weight back because I started to emotional eat. It took 2 more years and heartbreak to get my big butt again back into shape. May of 2013 I suffered my second miscarriage in a year and I had made it to almost 12 weeks pregnant. The pregnancy was so stressful. Went to the doctor all the time for blood work. My husband was in AZ for training the entire time I was pregnant. the day before Mother's Day I miscarried. Broke my heart, my faith, and I became angry. Plus I gained 12 lbs in just those 12 weeks. So I had the 12 lbs plus what I had regained.
