Leaving The Mormon Church
Mine started as community-driven. His was history, or lack of transparency, driven. But it was a choice we didn't take lightly or easily. In fact, I've been in therapy for months about how to process it because I went through a serious bout of depression and anxiety over it. Then covid hit. Covid made it easy to disappear from our ward. My ward didn't care about me anyway, I'm not kidding when I say that. I had zero actual friends. And not from a lack of trying. I threw one game party for the ladies in my ward years ago and one person didn't get invited and a whole other crap happened because of it and I became ostracized. FOR YEARS. I sat alone in the back. And roamed the halls because I never felt wanted or welcome in any of the classes. I have been only going because of my kids. In fact some women thought we moved and didn't even bother to ask or check. So covid made it real easy for me to step back. For my husband, thanks to new podcasts, he learned more about the missing history we were never taught about growing up. Which made him question why they never told us. We both look for reasons to look past, and ignore but ultimately we couldn't follow something that was dishonest with us and our money. (see that was my second thing I had a hard time with.) The tithing money. We have been living paycheck to paycheck, not even we rely on our credit card because we can't afford anything because we obediently gave 10% of our gross income to the church, only to find out in November 2019, the church had amassed over $100BILLION in money, not including how much they own in land and other investments. I started looking at the church as a corporation, a company, and not a religious entity. I get it, everything costs money, but here we were scraping by while the church was sitting on a huge nest egg, for what!?! They barely donate to charity, they don't really help the people locally who need it. They fired all the cleaning people and make the members do the cleaning of all the buildings and temples. I thought they had the members clean because the church didn't have enough to cover it. No, just another way to save money. Oh and leadership gets paid. Even though it's been stated in conference talks that there are no paid clergy. Well, the bishops give a ton of time and don't receive income but the higher ups have multiple perks, but not the higher up women in the church.
Anyways, this has been brewing and stewing for awhile with me. It is our choice to leave the mormon faith and one that is with a heavy heart. We've finally told our families and as you can imagine it didn't go well for either side. But this is for us. We can't follow blindly anymore. I look forward to our future that we make. That our children make. And my children, when they are adults they are welcome to choose to join the Mormon faith or not. But we won't be pressuring them to get baptized when they turn 8. We want them to make an informed choice. This post is not intended to hurt or damage any person's personal belief. This is just a way for me to move on, and to give transparency,
unlike the church.

Ultimate GENTLE Gut Reset 21 Day Program

What is the Beachbody Ultimate Reset?
How does the Ultimate Reset work?
What the Beachbody Ultimate Reset is NOT:
The Six Supplements Used During The Program
Power Greens
• Power Greens is a combination of six powerful greens, including kale, spirulina, cucumber, celery, spinach, and chlorella, each known for providing their own unique benefits, and now brought together to form the perfect “green team.” • A healthy diet, with plenty of greens, may help support the body’s acid/alkaline balance. • Power Greens comes in a convenient single daily-dose packet and is taken throughout all 3 phases of the Ultimate Reset program.Soothe
• A one-of-a-kind supplement that combines two incredible botanicals: aloe vera and curcumin. • Aloe vera is a succulent plant long used topically in traditional healing to relieve minor cuts, burns, and insect bites. Aloe vera has also been traditionally used to support digestive health and the body’s response to oxidative stress. Curcumin, a household remedy in India that’s long been a staple in Ayurvedic medicine, is a natural extract of the spice turmeric. Like aloe vera, curcumin promotes digestive health and is known for its antioxidant properties that help the body fight free radical damage. • Soothe capsules are taken daily throughout all 3 phases of the Ultimate Reset program.Mineralize
• Adds natural minerals needed by the body. • Mineralize is formulated with Pink Himalayan Salt, which is minimally processed and has a broad spectrum of trace elements. This beneficial salt and its elements are needed by the human body to help regulate fluid absorption, avoid muscle cramps, and maintain fluid balance in the body. • Mineralize is taken throughout each phase of the program and may be used as a seasoning with your meals.Detox
• Ingredients traditionally used to help support healthy liver function and digestive health. • When formulating Detox, we set out to create a supplement that was not the most powerful “take it and run to the bathroom” cleanser on the market. Believe us, making that type of supplement would have been easy! We wanted to strike that perfect balance. • Each single dose of Detox comes pre-measured in its own sealed packet. You’ll take this supplement during Week 2 of the program.Revitalize
• Helps support beneficial flora in the digestive tract. • Probiotics help restore the balance of healthy bacteria in your digestive tract. They are live microorganisms (in most cases, bacteria) that are similar to beneficial microorganisms found in the human gut. They’re sometimes called “friendly” or “good” bacteria because they help break down carbohydrates, and provide a beneficial environment for the digestive tract. • You’ll take Revitalize capsules daily throughout the Ultimate Reset.Optimize
• Supports nutrient absorption and bioavailability. • Optimize is a proprietary blend of systemic and digestive enzymes that function to help catalyze various natural processes of the body. These enzymes, such as protease, bromelain, amylase, and lipase, can also help support nutrient absorption and bioavailability. • Optimize capsules are taken throughout all 3 phases of the Ultimate Reset program.Monday, March 1, 2021
Workout Injuries And how To Stay Committed To Your Fitness Journey
February 12, I was crushing my workout, like really crushing it! The final minute I decided to push myself and record it then POP! I did something to my calf. Later found out, yes if you hear an audible POP you need to go to the emergence room RIGHT AWAY! And it was determined that I tore my calf muscle. BAD. Met with an orthopedic surgeon, NO SURGERY NEEDED, thank goodness and got in right away with a Physical Therapist to help my body recover and heal. With orders to only do upper body and core workouts.
Injuries happen. Even to Athletes, which is what the Orthopedic surgeon called me. And it sucks when they happen. There was no indication that something bad was about to happen. No pain leading up to it. no slow down. If anything I literally pushed my body to it's breaking point!
How do you stay committed to your journey when you're injured and can't workout like you used to?
1. Do what you can. I am on crutches and getting around sucks. But I make it downstairs and alternate doing upper body focused workouts and core focused workouts 5 days a week. A little movement is better than none.
2. Focus on what you can focus on. Following your docs orders. Your Physical Therapist exercises and EATING RIGHT!
3. Focus on your nutrition. It's so easy to slip back into old habits but you have to remember, you can still lose weight without exercise. And it's not even about losing weight, healthy eating promotes healing. The better you eat the more good stuff your body has to pull from to help it heal faster and more efficient. Just imagine if a wall broke in your house, and the contractor used broken or termite riddled wood to rebuild it. That's what processed foods is. It lacks the nutrients that your body actually need. While it might taste good at the moment and help drown away your sorrows or it even says it's "healthier", don't be deceived. What your body needs is whole foods like fruits and veggies, healthy fats, and lean protein, lots of water and rest.
4. Don't mentally beat yourself up. Alright it's going to happen the first few days but after that, STOP IT! Do what you can with your workouts, it's as good as it's going to get and be proud that you are doing it.
5. SLOW DOWN AND REST! Your body needs lots of rest right now. So if you can, slow down. Rest when you can. And get a good amount of sleep at night. Healing happens when you sleep!
