Total Body Transformation In 10 Weeks


I could feel change was happening with my body but HELLO! Change is really actually happening. In just 2.5 months I have totally reshaped my body. All I’m doing are amazing workouts and simple nutrition that is completely figured out for me. 

To be honest it’s so easy to look at other people who are doing the same program as you who have way more visible progress than you. And I have to remind myself to NOT DO THAT. And we all progress in different ways and pace. At my last check I have only lost 7 pounds. 


But here’s the thing. I could feel change happening on my body. My jeans fit better in the waist, but the Burt was snug. My thighs have looked leaner and they feel I strong! Track your progress by how you feel on the inside and out, clothing fit and be proud of how far you have come because hot damn! YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF!

Progress Is Possible With Consistency


I am all about celebrating Non Scale Victories! Most of the time, I focus more on how I feel or how my clothing are feeling, but DO NOT EVER FORGET how much strength you gain and confidence you gain in yourself through consistent work. Compare these 2 images. I really do wish I had video from the first time I attempted a mule kick at workout day 6, but I don't because I was too ashamed. I got maybe 2 feet off the ground. Now at day 57, because of my consistency and putting my faith, trust with a little pixie, I'm getting closer and closer to doing a full mule kick! And that my friends is EXCITING and something that should be celebrated!

CONSISTENCY! Want to make progress in your journey? Be consistent with eating the right foods. With exercising daily. With following through with your program. When you get off track, that is what is delaying you from reaching your goals. Find a program that you love and keeps you excited. Find support that helps you realize you are worth this hard work and effort! 80 Day Obsession does this for me and I am getting amazing results and Non Scale Victories daily! Nutrition: The Real Struggle To Losing Weight


Anyone can workout for an hour, it's controlling what goes on your plate in the other 23 hours that takes real strength! My struggle has, and I think will always be, food. Sweets, treats, goodies all call my name and I have such strong emotional memories around food that it’s hard to keep perspective. I’m an emotional comfort food eater. And Holidays, are one of the hardest times for me. All the candy for Easter and Halloween. All the carbs for Thanksgiving and Christmas. But now I’m working on creating memories of my family and things we did together rather than just the foods we ate. 


It takes real strength to stick with eating the foods you know you should be eating over the foods that you want to to help you feel better. 

This is why I drink my daily cravings crushing shake so I have more control to say no to crap foods and set my day and intentions right.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to cut the crap food that we tend to eat daily. And limit it to occasionally. And the rest of the time use that strength you have in you to eat healthy meals that you make yourself and eat the foods that you know you should be eating!


Tips To Get Started: 

  • Start by making more meals from home and less eating out so you know exactly what you are putting in your body. 
  • Stop eating sweets, treats and salty snack foods daily. Save the treats and goodies for Holidays and special occasions only (and don't make every day something special, even though it is! You know what I'm talking about!) Do your best to eat healthy and clean most of the time.
  • Become mindful of the portion sizes you eat. Eat more veggies than carbs on your plate.
  • Drink more water. Most of us do not drink enough water. Make it a goal to drink at least 1/2 your weight in ounces a day.
  • Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep can actually mess with your nutrition and eating habits. Aim for 8 hours of sleep a night. Missing 1 hour a sleep a night for a week is 7 hours a week of sleep that your body needs!

Plus Size Fitness: Exercise Might Be More Difficult. But Not Impossible

DO NOT LET YOUR SIZE OR SHAPE DETERMINE WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN NOT DO! How many times have you looked at a workout program and though, "I could never do that!"? It is easy to look at a workout program, group class or even most people at the gym and see people that are fit, lean, trim and MAKE EVERY MOVE LOOK EASY! I have thought the same thing. MANY TIMES! Actually, years ago that is what intimidated me from ever doing a live yoga class, or going to a certain part of the gym. I didn't fit the typical "look".


Now, I'm all about breaking the stereotype. Because I am now doing workouts I never thought I could do. There are times I look at my video playbacks and think, "well, I just made that look easy" when in fact it wasn't, it just felt good though.

You know you rocked your workout when the o pay thing you keep thinking after your workout is THAT WAS AWESOME! That is exactly how I was yesterday after mine. I even had a smile on my face because those curtsy pulses burned just right. Every move yesterday hit the right note for me and felt amazing! Not so scared about this 3rd month of my program. All new moves this month and so far, I’m pretty happy! If you want to do things that you don't think you can do I am here to tell you that YES YOU CAN! All it takes is CONSISTENCY. (I think this is my word of the year by the way because I keep using it!) Even if you have to start with modifying every single move in a workout program, that's okay. The main thing is that YOU KEEP TRYING every single day to be better than you were the day before. Check out this modification for Mountain Climbers. Even if you have to go from, standing against the wall, using the stairs, on all 4's then to the full out. Even doing the very first modification, you are able to rock your workout.


For us plus size ladies, exercise might be more difficult because it is hard to get up and down. Or think about it physically holding ourself in a full plank position for planks or pushups we are having to hold up more weight then those "fit gals" on the workout program. One thing I keep thinking or reminding myself is how easy it is going to be when I lose the excess weight. Then I will be able to plank for days, because it will physically be easier with 50-75 pounds less weight on my frame. But to get to that point...IT TAKES TIME AND CONSISTENCY!
Your key word going into any exercise is MODIFY, MODIFY, MODIFY! And only modify when you have to. If that means for every move then do it for every move. If you are able to do some moves not modified that's okay. Or as you get stronger and more comfortable with the move, start to transition to half full out, half modified until you can do them all not modified. That is progress. That is growth. THAT IS CHANGE!
